3.3m died in 2020. substantially more than the range bound numbers from 2017 to 2019 at around 2.8m. so clearly elevated by around 300 to 500k. deaths are rising though with only 2.4m dying in 2000.
In the US there are about 651k covid deaths since inception. since the start of march 2020 or about 1.5 years. so about 400k extra dead people per year at the current run rate.
in terms of boomers, there was about 85m boomers, much larger than the millenial generation at 72m. there are about 61m boomers left. 24m are dead. im sure more will die as years go bye and accelerate as they hit their average life expectancy of around 80.
