Is anyone aware, presumably anecdotally, or has had some magic educated guess at the percentage of candidates that score straight top bands (i.e. for all topic areas) on a CFA exam?
1.2196%.
That’s my (very important) opinion.
As a percentage of all test takers, or just those who pass? Each level, or all three?
Although I usually only accept answers with more than 5 decimals in precision, because your opinion is (very important) I am happy to shave one off in this instance. That is my (very important) benevolent decision of the day.
As a percentage of those who pass. We can backsolve for the percentage of the total population.
I suppose each level individually, given that I am personally happy to conclude that the incidence of straight bands across all three exams (by the same candidate) is less than around 1% of all charterholders (purely anecdotally and somewhat divinely).
Whew!
