Is learning FRM level 1 helpful for CFA level 2 exam

Hi all:

I am fresh here, I just passed CFA level 1 exam and will take FRM level 1 exam in Nov and CFA level 2 exam next June, I register FRM exams in Nov because many people told me at least 30% of FRM level 1 exams is same as CFA 2 exams, if they do not tell me that I will reserve more time for CFA 2 exam as I know CFA level 2 is very difficult

But sadly all people who told me FRM level 1 can cover CFA level 2 exam failed in CFA 2 in this June, some of them get very good results in FRM level 1(4A). so I want to get more information here, Thanks

Yes it will help, though not 30%. It will mainly help you with quantitative finance, fixed income and derivatives. Background: passed both frm exams and CFA lvl 2
