Is this ambiguous or am I the confused one?

CFAI example, Currency exchange rates, page 516, question 3.

The all-in rate that the dealer will be quoted today by another dealer to sell the CHF six months forward against GBP is closest to…

Now I know the logic and calculation behind this but I got confused weather to use bid quote or ask quote.

If this means that the second deale will be selling, I need to use ask quote.

If this means that the first dealer will be selling, I need to use bid quote.

My english is not helping me to determine who is selling here.

disregard please… i figured it out finally.

Dealer 1 wants to sell CHF forward and receive GBP; dealer 2 is quoting a bid/ask on either CHF/GBP or GBP/CHF. (I don’t have the curriculum so I don’t know which; it doesn’t matter.) Use whichever rate will give you fewer GBP: the bid rate if the quote is GBP/CHF, or the ask rate if the quote is CHF/GBP.

Thank you sir!

This a good tip. I will try this out in examples.

Glad to be of some small help.
