As a candidate for the CAIA program/exam, do you have access to the job board at www.caia.org site, or do you need to get your charter first before they let you in? Btw, are there lots of quality job postings in their site at all?
I would also be interested in the quality of the job postings.
Just find out the CAIA job board is only open to current chartered member only. What a bummer!
Can anyone weigh in on this? Very curious.
CAIA.org should follow the way CFAinstitute.org handles thing, i.e. charging its current candidates a nominal fee for accessing the job board. Not only will this make its website useful to both current and future members, this may also help to faciliate the growth of the job market around the CAIA designation. I think CAIA administration’s policy of keeping it open to current chartered members only is rather short sighted.
At this point in the CAIA’s current life-cycle, I think they are trying to harness all of there tools in an effort to attract members.
