June 2018 CFA level 3 result thread

my PM is completely below 10%, I don’t believe this result at all! I felt very confident especially in the PM. I am going for retab.

Failed

Gut wrenching, my score is literally on the minimum passing score which tells me I was matter of 1-2 marks and that one morning blank one came to hunt me. I did way worst on my PM than thought which means fell for every trick I guess…I am not sure if I have it in me to do this, saw the 56% pass rate and thought I passed for sure…but got crushed when seeing those damn regret words. I am not sure what else I could have done, another day where I managed my time better and finished morning would have been on the right side of the curve I guess. But biggest shock is the PM where I was closer to bottom 10% when I thought I got over 70% for sure … I am even thinking of retabbing but not sure what that does… I must have bubble wrong or been out to lunch completeley and fell for every trick. Last year failed and did not care because I did not put in the time I should have this year I really did and am just shocked specially given the pass rate of 56%…just gutted… I am old not like you young bucks and not sure if it is even worth it anymore to complete this thing been way too long of a journey and planning to have kids this year.

Passed on my first attempt, well above 90th percentile!

Passed! Just wondering one thing, does the performance by topic area consider both AM and PM?

Last year the performance by topic are was divided by AM and PM

Passed! OMG I’M FREEEEEEEE

Congratulations to you too and all the others that have completed the journey!

Passed above 90th percentile!

Congratulations to you too and all the others that have completed the journey!

Passed. Band 7 last year.

It is all about exam technique for the AM and as long as you get >50% you are fine. Last year I left out at least 30% of the essay questions and this year I still didn’t finish but did enough.

For those that failed. Take your time feeling depressed but then get back on that horse.

incoming L3 candidate here, what do those numbers mean - the 3/4/0? been seeing this format on this thread. is it 3 subjects above 70, 4 subjects between 50 to 70 etc?

Congrats to all those who passed!

To all those who failed…, life goes on. No biggie. Just do it again. It’s not the end of the world.
