June 2018 CFA level 3 result thread

Correct

Passed ! A lil’ bit below the 90% percentile

you think you may have bubbled wrong? like skip one keep bubbling or something like that? I am thinking I may have done something stupid like that as I can not believe I would be closer to bottom 10% given I counted only 10 I was not sure of, add 5 more puts me at 45 /60 which is 75%! this has worked for me for years and every practice test I took and came within 1-2 marks of my guesstimate… this is utterly shocking

I am very very very happy to announce you that I also PASSEDDDDDDDDDD !!!

And i seem to be in the top 10% (the blue rectangle is above the 90% percentile line !!!).

I was very anxious as my preparation was even worse than last year (i changed position in April, and as last year, my intention was to intensively prepare in one month during may… but difficult when you take a new job to ask for a 1-month vacation). So this year i worked like 13 hours per day during the 2 las weeks prior to the exam + at night the two weeks before (so not much sleep haha).

The essay part seemed to me a nightmare. At mid-exam, i realized that i was like 30 minutes late already… I skipped like two full questions (part 1 and part i dont remember) , I was desperately trying to find the questions that i mastered. I was a terrible terrible neighbour because i was erasing all the time thus shaking the table… so sorry for my neighbour i hope he passed too despite me !!!). So i clearly thought I would have a bad mark. The afternoon was better but with a few hesitations…

In the end it seems hat I scored > 70% in both essay and item set (and so above the 90% quantile).

In a nutschell, i was COMPLETELY DESPERATE and I was telling to everyone that I will fail. So very happy

Passed!!

For those of you that failed, don’t give up. Keep grinding! In 10 years it won’t matter if you passed in 2018 or 2019. I failed last year and came back and scored well.

Shout out to Marc! Thanks to everyone here as well. Appreciate you guys

YAAHHHH BABY! Thank you sir!

1/3/3. Although two of the 50-70 were very close to 70, and two of the below 50 were very close to 50. Must have saved my ass as no one would think 1/3/3 is a pass.

Finally, passed! Thank Lord!

Passed! got 50-70 in every area except for GIPS which was >70

what does “1/3/3” mean (noob question i guess)?

Cleared with 4/3/0, >90 percentile

I’m out of this for good

Passed, well above 90th percentile! All three levels from first attempt, I used only CFA Institute curriculum for all three levels.

This band 4 to Pass makes me feel 10x better. Congrats!

I was about as confident as I’ve ever been for the multiple choice but didn’t clear 70 which was surprising, in past years my confidence/estimate post exam has been pretty spot on. Ended up in the middle of the bands but less than 70, was thinking 70 worst case on the PM section post exam, essay was the wild card. Right on the 50 line for essays. Probably missed by a couple questions, still chalking it up to skipping GIPS completely, was my only subject that I was down near the 10th percentile.

I actually read an article about failing that said as much as it sucks right now in the moment, it’s really just a blip in a 30-40 year career. That’s the point that I’m gonna hang onto here. I put the least amount of time in for this level, barely came up short, but I have no one to blame but myself for putting that lessor effort forward. I know what needs to be done and I’ll put a bow on this thing next year. Probably going to try and squeeze in a round of GMAT before I pick the books back up in Jan.

Don’t be discouraged guys, congrats to those who passed, I’ll see you all next year.

Passed L2 a couple of weeks back, so brand new to L3; What does 4/3/0 mean by the way?

Passed!

Have been lurking here the past few days. Thanks for all the support guys.

All the best to those still waiting!
