Derivatives were the first to get tossed in the fireplace… As I roasted the section on “currency swaps” I swear that I could hear a hellish moan and that the face of the devil appeared in the flames. Congrats to everyone moving on to Level 3!!!

Couldnt agree more. Boy am I glad it’s all over, I’m not touching any CFA book till next year. Im readding outliers by malcom gladwell right, quite interesting.
lol… I love you man !!! You have got balls
why burn them? I would hang them on my wall as tokens of war
I would never burn the cover picture of Ashley Koo…she is cute
this perhaps sounds like heresy – but there are times now (several years after the fact) that I wish I had kept mine as references – for time-series statistical methods, obscure accounting practices, etc. (I’ve ended up using surprising amounts of the curriculum in my job.)
As much as I’d like to burn them, I feel its more responsible to keep them on the bookcase in my office. Another analyst actually borrowed my equity book the other day to look up something about valuation using FCFF and FCFE.
I’ve recycled my books after each pass because they get revised every year anyway and because the next set needs a place to live. Less than three weeks and I hope to clear that shelf space for the last time.

The book is highly recommended.
