Looking to transition. What makes sense?

Hey guys,

I’ve been working in MBS settlements and securitization (ops) at a big Canadian bank for the past 2 years. Unfortunately, there isn’t room for career growth within my current business team (Ops, PC or FO). I was hoping for your insight as to what roles would make the most sense to pursue, given my experience?

I am in a similar position except in a FO position (within the same line of business). How realistic is it to transition into asset management given that I am also pursuing both the CFA and FRM qualifications
