Definitely leave it ON if you went to a Top school famous for grade-deflation!
Leave it off. If you put it on, someone screening resumes might not even bother to look past the GPA and just circular file yours -> no chance at an interview. If you leave it off and the rest of your resume is good, you will almost certainly be asked about it in an interview, but at least you got the interview and had a chance to wow them.
always on. it shows character that nothing else on your resume can. you’ll likely be asked about your grades if the job requires someone with a strong acedemic history anyway and posting them up front shows that you’re not ashamed of your past. it also hints that you’re more likely to be more honest/ethical than anyone who leaves their gpa off their resume.
Do you have an SAT score that can make up for it? >95th percentile, I’d say also report your SAT score. Also, I think it depends on what kind of job you’re looking for. The screening process works both ways. It could also exclude people who don’t report their GPA. Depends on the position, but in general if someone’s GPA is lower than the 3.0 to 3.4 range their work experience gets emphasized more. As a recent grad though, this might not be of help unless you had a good internship.
round up to 4.0
Leave the 3.17 off – it’s too low to be mentioned. If the interviewer’s curious, he/she will ask you, but it’s also possible they won’t make any mention of it. You definitely don’t want to draw attention to a GPA that isn’t at least a 3.4, in my view; instead, focus on demonstrating your leadership, creativity, and analytical skills throughout your resume.
Of course off! If you are a fresh grad, they will ask for your transcript anyway!
Leave it ON. If you leave it off, I automatically assume it was below a 3.0, and most people do too. A 3.0 is a B average. That is not terrible by any means. Don’t mind the people on here saying you should only show your GPA if it’s 3.5 and above. It’s better to have a strong resume with a 3.1 gpa than a strong resume with NO gpa. plus leaving it off looks weird anyway…it’s better to show it now and get it “out of the way”. That way, at least u know if they contact you, you still have a shot. The AVERAGE GPA at the best business schools like harvard, wharton, stanford, chicago, MIT etc…is around 3.5…that means HALF of all students in these top schools got BELOW 3.5…don’t listen to these unrealistic uber-achievers here. They will deflate your ego…some folks on here are not in touch with the real world. my $0.02
