I have a 3.17/4.0 GPA… should I leave it off my resume or leave it included?
OFF
Off
Leave it on but say that it was 3.17 out of a 3.0.
off
Whoa, so much agreement Other forums had ppl saying leaving it off may make ppl assume it’s really bad (under 3.0) Okies, thanks guys!
off and on (include major GPA) if better than 3.5
I say On. Whenever I see a resume with it off, I begin to think…“this guy must have had a 2.0 or something if he’s not confident to put it on here…”
I would say keep it on as long as it’s over 3.0
on, same reasoning as cardshark

Off. ( It is bad). For your information in the American system a “B” is generally considered a polite “F”.
off but put another gay quote at the top of the resume to replace the GPA
Rule of thumb is anything lower than a 3.2 you leave off. Unless it’s your first job out of college it doesn’t matter anyway. A couple year out the only thing potential employers look at is work experience.
I’d keep anything less than 3.3 off if I were you. Only keep a 3.5 or above on your resume if you’re 2+ years out of college…even a 3.3 is not so good, but not terrible either. I do agree with others that recruiters might assume the worst if they don’t see a GPA, but in your case, it’s not a big deal if you omit it. They’ll ask you if they really want to know.

FYI: I’m a recent grad.
Im surprised no one asked about the school. At a competitive public school where the “kids” cant whine to the profs about their parents tuition money, grades are more in line with competition than grade inflation. If the interviewer is from a public school this would be immediately recognized. Some schools still grade by the curve.
Leave it on… its not good… but its not that bad either… also not that big of a difference between that and a 3.4. Leaving it off begs questions… Any jobs that require super high gpa’s for will ask for your gpa.
I had a 2.45…yours is better than mine so I’d say put it on
My school has a 9.0 scale. Any rules of thumb on what kind of GPA should be kept on/off?
