It’s 4D because with multiple realities (blue bubble) you can play multiple games at once. One move is a seeming loss (on the board the liberals are playing) but a killing winner (on the conservatives board). Dems have no clue what is happening. Have you considered that maybe, just maybe, by discrediting and delegitimizing every institution and power structure other than the military and the white house (not to say anyone in it, the Trump team seems to be willing to throw anyone under the bus at any time at even the highest levels), the Trump team may be harming america more broadly and not just the liberals? Have you considered that maybe you’re wrong about this being good for the country as a whole? That maybe instilling a culture of blatant lies and undermining facts, and making reality some completely narrative driven thing, not based in reality, that that may be something other than a good thing for the country?
While it’s common in sci fi movies to refer to the 4th dimension as time, it’s likely spatial. And I don’t know about you guys, but I have serious doubts Trump/Bannon could play a game of chess on a hypersphere. I mean…lol…come on.
My impression is that the characterization itself has always been somewhat tongue in cheek, not to be taken literally. I’ve taken it that way, but acknowledge its meaning that trump is playing at a higher level and making moves that, as pure alpha mentioned, liberals see as wins, but which in trumps long game are wins for him (strategically).

I see it like this… you’ve got an internet persona, particularly on something more anonymous like an IRC chat or in a group where noone really knows anyone else on a personal level, where people have the veil of anonymity, and they can shit talk. Then you have the irl persona, where you’re not the internet persona. You don’t go full internet persona in real life. Its like in tropic thunder. You don’t go full retard. I think the characterization of him as always feeling like he’s someone who has something to prove, and that he was born on the outside, trying to work his way in to the big league, is pretty apt.
