Why was my post earlier today flagged? For those who didn’t see it, it was a picture of a chyron shown on CNN last night during Trump’s press conference.
The chyron read…
Trump on unproven drug: “What do you have to lose?”;
President of AMA: “You could lose your life”
AMA is the American Medical Association. Simply stated, it is irresponsible for Trump to be advocating for a specific medication that hasn’t been properly tested for treating coronavirus. Patients taking this medication could be doing themselves more harm than good. I think it is noteworthy that the president of the United States is dispensing potentially harmful medical advice.
Fauci is a deep state stooge and Trump knows it (obviously). He doesn’t have to discredit him because Fauci discredits himself.
“We don’t have to start designing new drugs,” a process that takes years, Fauci says. “The next time someone comes into an emergency room in Qatar or Saudi Arabia, you would have drugs that are readily available. And at least you would have some data.”
Even though the treatment hasn’t gone through definitive trials, Fauci says, “if I were a physician in a hospital and someone were dying, rather than do nothing, you can see if these work.”
Everyone knew in 2005 that CQ was the treatment.
2005 CDC study on chloroquine for SARS Coronoviruses
They are hoping the media can keep everyone in the dark, and of course it is failing miserably because Truth has already won.
This thread feels like a dark ally in New Orleans late in the evening. It’s like all of the sudden it’s gotten eerily quiet and the crowds have disappeared. You just know you’re in the wrong place. But you can’t run because it’s too obvious. So I’ll just slowly back myself out of here and close the door…
“Trump has mouthed the slogan “America first,” but he has never acted on it. It has always been” “Trump first.” His business first. His excuses first. His pathetic vanity first.
Trump has taken millions in payments from the Treasury. He has taken millions in payments from U.S. businesses and foreign governments. He has taken millions in payments from the Republican Party and his own inaugural committee. He has taken so much that does not belong to him, that was unethical and even illegal for him to take. But responsibility? No, he will not take that.
Yet responsibility falls upon Trump, whether he takes it or not. No matter how much he deflects and insults and snivels and whines, this American catastrophe is on his hands and on his head."
Trump’s most recent financial disclosure forms lists holdings in the Dodge & Cox International Fund valued between $1,001 and $15,000. That means Trump holds a maximum stake in the mutual funds of $35,000, giving him an indirect interest in Sanofi of $1,155 at the most.
His “financial interest” in Sanofi, which has a market capitalization of nearly $58 billion, could be as low as $99.10.
It’s really sad, the way the media has treated President Trump. They don’t realize it but many Americans can see right through it and they are actually hurting the left. No one likes to be manipulated.
A concise explanation of how the corporate controllers manipulate you into carrying their water for them, all the while you’re thinking you’re righteous and intellectually superior.
There hasn’t been a narrative shift from “chloroquine doesn’t work” to “it does work”. At least, not according to any reliable study. The evidence appears, at best, to be anecdotal.
Bottom line is Trump doesn’t have the first clue as to the effect of this drug and shouldn’t be touting it as a game changer or whatever. His own medical people have said it might have benefit but they’re are risks and wouldn’t even support Trump on it. I just find it funny how instantly the right wing media circled the wagons and starting going on about how great the drug is (they don’t have a clue either).
Yes, the drug may help reduce infection, yes it may make you less susceptible to the virus in the first place, and yes there’s a steady population of people who really on it for other ailments (there’s not tons of the stuff laying around), and yes it has side effects and can be fatal in rare cases so it’s tricky as to whether it should be used on a broad range for a virus that probably kills less than 1% of those infected.
The entire thing is ridiculous – people who devoted their lives to fighting these diseases are working around the clock to find a treatment to slow the spread but Trump of all people is the one guy who finds a silver bullet.
If I could get brisco, fris, et al to consider one thing, it would be this: consider the potential that the people with the most power and control in our society --the leaders of our institutions – (no matter what walk of life) do not have our best interest in mind.
There’s a really powerful method I’d love you to consider using to give yourself the opportunity to change your mind. Just allow yourself to try on the belief for a little while without actually believing it. Just pretend you believe it (your mind will let you because you don’t actually believe it, you’re just pretending) and then see what the world looks like through that lens – look for information that would support that view. Then ask yourself if that data and view better fits the OUTCOMES you are witnessing in the world.
Maybe try that method on something like this and see what happens.
