Management consulting with hacksaw MBA

Is this realistic at all? I understand that the large firms are some of the most desired jobs in all of business. What is the best route to break into the industry?

why would you want throw away your life?

daddy working there

Not saying I do. Just curious and asking questions.

I have a friend at a top management consulting firm and doing quite well there with a mid-level Canadian MBA. Like mid-level by Canadian standards (not Toronto, McGill or anything like that, probably 1 in 25 American professionals has even heard of it).

For a top firm like M/B/B, outside of extreme nepotism chances of getting in with hacksaw credentials is zero. Chances of apocalypse happening in the next year are more likely.

Thanks for the input, everyone
