MBA+CFA+CPA

What would one do with this combo?

Two chicks at the same time.

Drop kick penguins

man, youre all over the place, you wanna take the CMA exam, work as an intern at a non-profit, and get the CFA/CPA/MBA trifecta, what a pimp

^really, doing all that work makes you a pimp?

that’s the tripple threat, but if you’re in your mid-to-late 20’s, it’s could be hard to sell yourself with all those qualifications and no tangible experience (assuming you sacrificed projects, opportunities to keep studying). just my .02

I am a CPA and a level 3 candidate. I am strongly considering an MBA if I cant get out of back office after recieving my charter. I dont see how it could hurt. Im 26 and I havent sacrificed anything at work to obtain these aside from taking a week off before L1 and 2. Id say if you have the patience and the dedication to do it, go for it.

Thacharter. Shoot me an email. I am in an MBA program after a stint in back office. Id be happy to share more offline.

QuantJockMBA which MBA program are you in?

I go to a school in the Twin Cities. Not a top 20. I’ll tell you the name offline.

There are plenty of successful people out there without all three of these qualifications. Pick one, become and EXPERT in it…and make it rain.

@THACHARTER: How did you justify your work at BO to be considered for the 4 years of experience required? “if I cant get out of back office after recieving my charter.” Thanks for valuable input, I am struggling with the local society for the moment :@

Yes buddy but if i cant get a good job that I’m happy with in this economy, what is wrong with doing whatever i can to make myself more marketable?? i still work 50 hrs a week and bust my @ss at my current job. I’m well respected in my group but I would like to move out of the back office and actually use my brain at work. I don’t like being in school nor do I like studying, however I am not lazy and I’m willing to work as hard as it takes to get where I want to be.

I work at a hedge fund and I deal with the FO and MO on a daily basis. I just worded my job description in the right way and I was able to have my experience approved.

Would you send your job description to me? (in order to check how I can structure mine) Also dealing with FO & MO on a daily basis. (I do not know how we can send private message on this board)
