Measure units in CFA exam

I find this question in Schweser: which statetment is most accurate

If the units of the independent variable are tons instead of pound, the estimated slope coeff will be 2000 times larger.

This statement is true and is the right answer of the question.

I have no idea about the units pound, inch, mile,… and the conversions. I thought the measure units are not international and can not be in the exam. But now, I doubt whether my guess is wrong.

Do you think whether this kind of question can be in the exam?

Wouldn’t worry. In what way is a question like this at all useful in testing your understanding of the actual curriculum? They won’t waste the paper on this sort of tripe

Thanks, I hope so. The examiner must consider the fact that there are many non anglo saxon candidates.
