minimum work experience of 48 months to get certified

To be certified in cfa we need 4 years of work experience, what kind of work experience is required, as i am working in financial startup, i am working in the department of operations(currently i register kyc of the customers) in the company. and the company sells mutual funds. does this count in work experience. please help me.

Work experience : Four years of professional work experience (does not have to be investment related). as it was mentioned in cfa website.

you are getting things mixed up. You can have 4 years work experience (unrelated to finance) and sit for the exams. Or you can have a bachelors. But to get the charter once you pass all the exams you need 4 years of experience contributing to the investment decision making process. Id imagine there may be examples of KYC people getting by but am not positive, may depend on wording
