Hello
I remembered there is a question from the Schweser Qbank state " XXX, CFA, enter a public place( not an investment related place) and didn’t buy the ticket " I cant remember the Question, but it is something like that. Is that a violation of misconduct?
I am kind of confused about “misconduct”. Sometime the personal life action is violation of misconduct, and sometime it is not.
Thanks
I remember this is fraud or something, but punching someone in the face you are not in violation. Weird.
You attended a show without buying ticket is not a violation of the Codes and standards, because it is not related to the investment profession. Punching someone during the course of work (investment practice) constitute violation of the professionalism standard.
If you go to a show and do not pay your ticket you may be charged for fraud. This does reflect well on you and indirectly on the profession. So, yes, it’s a violation.
If you punch someone in the face (not in a context of self defence or during a hockey match where such behaviou may be tolerated) you are in violation too.
I’m agree with cdealbuquerque.
So how the hell am I supposed to say ‘good morning’ to my colleagues?
Sometimes to “break the law” is not considered misconduct if it was an action to back up a personal belief. I remember some questions where an individual was arrested for a protest or something and this is NOT a violation of the misconduct standards.
Lol… You simply say hello?.
Totally right. The idea is not acting in a way that relects bad on the profession.
Civil disobedience because you believe in a cause does not reflects badly on the profession. Planting bombs because you believe in something reflects badly on the profession.
