Most overrated cuisine

I prefer tom kha gai, preferably with lots of dried Thai chilies.

som yun gai

If we’re talking Asian noodle soup then Malaysia laksa is where it’s at. I’m surprised it’s not more popular

If you consider gumbo a soup, it’s delicious

Me? Never. But seriously, I was being seriously serious. Grass fed beef is much tougher and less flavorful. Or, rather, it tastes different. A bit gamey-er. Grain fed beef is tender and has more fat, which is where the (good) flavor comes from.

Not sure where the vitriol from our Scottish friend is coming from. I take tons of time off (today, as a matter of fact) and believe we should have affordable health care for all, just not a single-payer system.

Hope that clears up any misconceptions. Have a great long weekend everyone.

Oh, and escargot is amazingly awesome.

Conch chowda in the Bahamas, turtle soup in New Orleans. Now that’s some good eatin’ right there!!!

Pfffft, soup haytaz be haytin’!!! :-1:

And I make a mean cream of butternut squash soup with MY homemade chicken stock and fresh herbs from the garden!!!

I make a really good chicken noodles soup.

The mentioned Thai soups are all good, I never had any of them until I moved recently and they are some of my favorite. Except thai curry, for whatever reason, it’s too sweet for my taste.

I think Matzo ball soup is over rated. I like everything except the Matzo ball, what’s the point of that? I’d rather have bread, rice, noodles than a Matzo ball in the middle of my soup. I’ll eat it if it’s there but I don’t get it.

Laksa is awesome. Singaporean dispute the ownership of the recipe. Singaporean laksa it is!

Veal is overrated, looking at you again Italy.
