If you ain’t got goldeneye I ain’t believing it
Goldeneye was good, but Doom predated it by 4 years and was the groundbreaking FPS.
Donkey Kong 64, anyone?
Yeah, I thought about that after the fact. But Wolfenstein came even before Doom. And I think the Halo franchise > Doom franchise.
I guess I could have said “Mario” and “Zelda”, rather than picking out a specific game. But Super Mario Bros. 3 was probably made the biggest splash in the history of video games, so it seems to deserve some extra credit. And BOTW is (as of right now) the greatest video game of all time. (I guess you could say it’s the Jason Witten of video games.)

tehre’s a game you econ nerds are going to like. its called capitalism lab. or just get cap 2 if you want get a standard one at steam. its econ simulation at its finest.
Is BOTW too complicated for young kids? We got a Switch for Christmas and have been sticking to stuff like Mario Kart, Mario Party, and Lego games. Our oldest is 7
My son is 7, and hasn’t shown any interest in BOTW. It’s probably above his head, and he’s pretty smart.
I, on the other hand, have only played it about 30-40 hours since Christmas.
DOOM? You got to be kidding me. Running around on rails! Name one game that currently works like Doom. I’ll wait.
Try to name one that doesn’t work like 007? Oh. . .
GREATEST GAME. DOOM CAN SUCK JAWS ****
Played Halo a couple days ago for the first time in 15 years. Did the game get faster or something? Or am I really just that much slower? I’m afraid my 7 year-old has surpassed my video-gaming ability, which was once unparalleled. (in the days of Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out, that is.)
