“Light of the Seven”, from the HBO hit “Game of Thrones”
Very delightful music, indeed.
Elton John’s Greatest Hits–specifically “Crocodile Rock”. (That’s just what’s on right now.)
The song is nice, but I’m enjoying the video for obvious reasons (footwork is impressive).
^ yo bchad please educate us uncultured swine. What is so impressive about that? (I am talkin about the dancing duh) I dont really understand it enough to critique but it doesnt seem like its out of this world dancing to warrant 50 people taking cell phone videos
It looks easy, but it’s actually quite hard to do in a close embrace without crashing into each other constantly or misstepping or the follower anticipating too far ahead.
I like the stuff from about 0:54 - 1.04 especially. He has to walk in a counter-rhythm to her to get that right but also switches seamlessly. Then at 1:10 he lifts her foot with his, which means she can’t have any tension in her leg and she has to be listening to his lead carefully or she will just take a step without him. I can do this in Tango fairly well, but my Kizomba never got good enough to do that.
My guess is that the cell phones are out because it’s a demo or a recap of stuff during a workshop and people want to remember what they learned.
Been listening to the new Green Day album this week. Pretty good, and reminds me of high school.
ah ok, i never assumed it was simple to do but as i mentioned i dont have any sort of knowledge about dance to be able to appreciate that. Although I was still quite able to appreciate the video otherwise
Yes, there’s a lot to appreciate even if the footwork were as easy to do as it looks. And some of those other reasons were reasons that I thought the many fine folk at AF might enjoy a vid like that.
Man, y’all have basic taste in music.
