I’m trying to put together a list of must read finance books, and will appreciate any suggestion. thx
What kind of finance books? Leisure - ie. Barbarians at the Gate, When Genius Failed: Rise and Fall of LTCM, Liars Poker, Den of Thieves or Real Finance Books - ie. Security Analysis (by Graham/Dodd), Valuation (by McKinsey)
Both thanks!
Handbook of Fixed Income Securities by Fabozzi is my favorite of all time. And I dont even work in fixed income.
i got damadoran on valuation for xmas. looking forward to digging into it.

Monkey Business - (for pleasure)

one of the best non finance yet still finance is moneyball
Investment philosophies - Damodaran Value Investing- Simplified version by some B School professor
Investing in Subprime ABS 2005 Edition - Bear Stearns
Damn it feels good to be a Banker
Liars Poker is a good one, whoever mentioned that. A Random Walk Down Wall Street by Malkiel is one of the good ones, but somewhat dry at that.
Monkey Business gets my vote
I liked F.I.A.S.C.O. more than Liar’s Poker, actually. It had more first-hand stuff, rather than the general grapevine stuff that Michael Lewis included. Against the Gods was another good one that nobody’s mentioned yet.
security analysis
Traders Guns & Money by Satyajit Das is very good
Options, Futures, and Other Derivatives by John Hull > Traders Guns & Money by Satyajit Das is very good Great choice. This book is brilliant. Very funny, entertaining, and informative. It came out a few years ago and after you’ve read it, you’ll see that the situation we’re in now was inevitable. Das is always worth reading. His blog, which reprints his articles is here: http://www.wilmott.com/blogs/satyajitdas/
