Microsoft Outlook briefly shows a pop-up in the bottom right corner of my screen whenever a new email arrives, and it details who the email is from, the subject, and the first few words of the message. On Monday, I hope it just pops up with CFA Institute, Exam Results, and Pass/Fail. I think it will be easier that way … kind of like ripping off a band-aid. It will come out of the blue and I’ll know instantly whether or not I passed. Then I can let that information marinate before digging into the email for further details only when I’m good and ready. That is all.

Just got another emailf from the CFAI about results next week, it is pretty tiring now waiting for results. I would love to get it over with, I am still hoping I hopped over the line, felt good when I left the exam but time, as it does, has eroded those positive feelings. I feel though that for most persons Passing or Failing will depend heavily on how the morning scores were. That morning exam for most people was the killer.
I also got this e-mail, does that mean I passed as I heard only the people that pass get the e-mail and those that fail never hear from the CFAI again?

Absolutely… and the digits in the timestamp on your email is actually an encryption for your actual scores.
I’m curious to know what time we’ll be emailed.
I like your answer:)
CFAI is like a cruel older sister with the needling emails. “You want your choo choo toy? Here it is!” {jumping four year old boy (that’s me) reaches up at the apex of each jump, but the choo choo suddenly floats upward out of grasp} {jumping stops. choo choo is lowered dramatically. no need to even jump. boy reaches for it. at the last second, it’s gone. this repeats. boy grows jaded and is fuming. finally he reaches up, slowly, conditioned to the malice, and to his surprise, his fingers close on the object.} {sister then grabs a shinier and infinitely more useful and fun choo choo from the toy bin} “But what about this choo choo? This is a better choo choo!” (allegorical reference to L3)
I wish to know the result on Friday so I can either celebrate or drown my sorrow. Then back to normal on Monday. Dreading that my work will sufffer bc of this result.

These e-mails that they send are really irritating especially 3 days before the actual results are due.
Yeah, so a couple months ago I put in for vacation M-F of next week… not thinking I’d start vacation off hearing from CFAI… it’s either gonna be a great week or…
