New joiner in need for quick help regarding study materials

Hi guys,

I am taking CAIA Level 1 exam in September, and I have Schweser 2012 materials and Uppermark. Are those materials still ok for 2018? Don’t have money for new ones so if somebody can help and inform me I would appreciate that.

Also, I have taken CFA L1 a couple of days ago and alternative investments knowledge is still fresh, is it possible to be ready by September for CAIA exam?

I would encourage you to get the new textbook. You can find it on Amazon for about $80 and I believe the curriculum has changed a bit since 2012.

Additionally, I think it is perfectly realistic to prep and get ready for September. I sat for CFA Level 2 last summer and took CAIA Level 2 in September.
