^I don’t mind the trash talking, but I’m getting tired of the celebrations. If you’re down by a couple of scores and you just tackled their TE for an eight yard gain, you shouldn’t get up and start dancing.
Richard Sherman, Dennis Green, Jim Mora provided entertainment and I’d rather hear those kinds of rants than someone simply trying to outbore Bill Belichick.
And Ndomakong Suh is the dirtiest player in the history of the NFL. The stomp on Rodger’s leg shouldn’t go unpunished. I vote for a one-game suspension.
I didn’t watch that game but looking at the video just now, that was very low class. Suspension and a huge fine would be appropriate. There is no chance that was accidental.
I actually said that in jest, since they’re playing America’s Team. I didn’t think that it warranted a suspension from a playoff game. That’s a big suspension (since the Lions only get in the playoffs once per generation). But then again, he does have a reputation…
I disagree, I think given his history and knowledge of an existing injury that Rodgers has, Suh should be suspended for more than one game. Maybe 4 games would be fair with the understanding that if he does it again it will be even longer next time. The league needs to knock this shit off. Yeah, it’s a physical game and people get hurt. But intentionally kicking people in the balls and very clearly going out of your way to put your entire weight on someone’s known injury has no place in the game. Philosophically, this is not that much different than the Ray Rice incident – yes, totally different kind of uncalled for behavior – but the league needs to take a stand and take unnecessary thuggishness out of the game on and off the field.
BTW, this is good for me too since I think the Packers are the second best team in the NFC (we can agree to disagree that the Cowboys are 3rd) but it’s still bad form no matter whose team it is. If this clown had stepped on Wilson’s leg I’d be calling for his head on a stick.
I think the best thing happened to Cincy. Start their playoff game on the road as an underdog with no pressure. They obviously can’t play when there is any.
Aaron Rodgers for MVP. Rodgers outstanding performance leads his team to a division title and playoffs. Watt is awesome, though his best play does not get his team enough wins to make it to the playoffs. Watt for defensive player of the year.
I really wish Houston made the playoffs so that the Watt MVP pick could be justified. However, with Houston out and with Packers the #2 seed, I think you have to go with Rodgers who put up an absurd 38:5 TD:INT ratio this year, with 2 more TDs on the ground and only 2 fumbles lost.
