Unfortunately I didnt pass and I cant believe yet.
I passed first attempt in level I (dec2017) and in level II (june2018).
No doubt that I studied more for level III than other levels. But during my preparation I realized that something was not good in essay questions (Kaplan Schweser books).
In other hand, I performed very well in set item questions when I was studying (above 70%).
Nevertheless, I performed very bad in objective test for real (60%). Probably it was the main reason of my fail. The essay was good as well (probably 40-45%)
I’m very frustrated and I really dont know if I’ll continue my CFA journey. I have kids to raise and I really dont know if it worths stay out one more year…
JFor the all candidates approved, congrats: it’s a tough preparation during 2/3 years.
After a long time away from this Forum and multiple attempts and years of break my nearly 13 years journey comes to an end … I am still in disbelief that I finally passed this thing! Congrats to all that passed! My advice to those who failed: 1st be proud you attempted the exam and endured the ups and downs. Take a day or two (week or two if you need) then get back at it, the victory at the end will only taste better; I took a long break for quiet a few years but managed to get back on the horse and clear the hurdle this year after a few set backs and I can tell you made the victory that much more joyfull.
am i only both of us using bloomberg this year for Level 3 ?
i really like their mock exams (in my opinion their item set nuance is the most close to real exam compare to others), but i just realized their mock exams can be printed 10 days before real exam.
so i just rush annotated 8 mock exam 10 days before real exam.
Passed with 90th percentile; 3 months part time prep, no boot camp, no one on one sessions, I didn’t even use the curriculum that much (only briefly read areas that wasnt covered by mark); however, couldn’t make this without mark meldrum’s course. It’s effective and great value for money.
Can people around the MPS, share their split? I failed with AM around 54% and PM around 60%. 2 above 70 and rest 50-70. Anyone else can share to understand what makes it above the MPS. Please share …
Passed! Looks like around ~68% score for both AM and PM [a bit under 90th percentile for AM]. Studied about 515 hours starting January 1 or so. Used Kaplan for an initial pass through the material, CFAI for blue boxes + end of chapters then LevelUp boot camp / hammering through prior AM mocks from Marc’s book + going through his slide book religiously.
Huge shout out to Marc and LevelUp Bootcamp – he was a huge part of my success!
