I live in the South and I’m wondering if jackets are still mandatory when it’s pushing 105 on a hot July afternoon. I assume that pretty much regardless where I interview no one will be donning one, so is it still necessary to show up in one or will a sharp dress shirt, tie, and slacks be okay?

Carry your jacket with you and put it on. Recommend bringing a back up shirt and with a towel to pull yourself together before going in.

Jacket no matter what the temp. The people interviewing you don’t need to wear a jacket because they already have the job.
