optional pages in Reading 26, then they include the material in problem sets

Hi folks,

I don’t know what to make of the optional pages in Reading 26 of the curriculum.

I thought optional was optional but then throughout the rest of the required reading, they are using formulas from the optional reading.

What is up with that??

When CFAI says optional, they mean “this was taught in a previous level and you should know it, but if you don’t: here’s a refresher”. They’re pretty nice folks.
