PCP Investigation - Similarity Analysis

Hi everyone, I had an experience years ago, where I was investigated from CFA PCP and accused of having similar answers on the exam as someone else writing the exam. This is known as a ‘similarity analysis’ violation.

Long story short…and without getting into the politics, I did not cheat on the exam, but CFA had decided that I did.

I can’t find any information on similarity analysis on the CFA website and to this day it still haunts me that I got accused for such an act.

It may be wishful thinking, but I was hoping if anyone had any experience with this kind of issue before they could share how it turned out? I can’t help but feel that this similarity analysis doesn’t even exist anymore for CFA exam candidates because it is so ridiculous, if so, I am wondering if they can somehow retrospectively reverse their decision for me.

Any help and suggestions are welcome.

Thank you.

Does your investigation got resolved?

They may have done away with Similarity Analysis with the advent of online testing.
If that’s what happened, it doesn’t help you.

Similarity Analysis was used when candidates took the exam in rows of desks in huge halls and the method compared your answers to candidates sitting nearby.
As chad and others have said in other threads, the flaw in Similarity Analysis was that you could get banned if someone else copied off you without you even noticing.
