I wanted to have your opinion on how are you going through the materials until the exam…
I finished the readings and all EOC’s by now. Ideally, I would like to do all of them a 2nd time but don’t think it’s going to be possible as I plan to focus more on mocks during May.
What do you think about BPP Question bank ? is it good?
Probably, what I will end up doing is going through only the Vignettes in the EOC and revise any weaker areas.
My plan in to finish revision till 1st of May, then I am going to start solving EOC (those I’ve skipped) and topic tests. Last 3 weeks - mocks and weak areas.
My plan is pretty similar, I’m about half way through EOC, so gonna finish the EOCs and topic tests, then mid May onwards: mock exams during the weekends, more vingette questions on weak areas, and read more Ethics cases. What is BPP?
I would focus on the online vignettes that CFAI provides and mocks, as well as any EOCs you struggled with or were negative outliers when you went through them the first time. You have plenty of time for those.
Thanks a lot for sharing your opinions. So, do you think it’s better to do EOCs instead of mocks even they are a bit old (2011/2012)? Just trying to understand what’s the best preparation as we are getting close.
BPP is other provider of learning materials like Kaplan or Fitch.
I am finishing up revision and EOC’s now. On 5/1 I’ll start Wiley’s 11th hour review course which is about 40 hours of review videos, questions and a mock exam. Mixed in with that, I’ll be doing 4 additional mocks - one per week. The last month isn’t going to be much fun but hopefully it will be worth it.
I am exatly where you are, my plan is spending last 20 days doing mock, and all other days going through my own note and all EOC questions again while cover ethics, let me know what you end up doing, I think, and hope, second time EOC scan will be faster
You got it! I would use every CFA Institute-provided material before spending much time with 3rd party questions (others will disagree). It’s a fine balance. You don’t want to use CFA Institute questions or mocks when you’re not adequately able to use them as an assessment, but you want to exhaust all CFA Institute materials before exam day. I wouldn’t take 3rd party mocks as equal or better quality performance indicators over CFAI mocks, but I would use them (Wiley, Schweser) to build stamina (however, I didn’t use any 3rd party questions for L2).
