Do we have to know how to calculate the pooled estimate of variance?

I saw in many exercices that it has been given…

According to the LOSs, no.

If I were studying for the Level I exam, those formulae would be way down on the list of formulae to memorize.

Way, way down.

ahah yes it is, indeed :slight_smile: just wanted to be sure! Because I also was persuaded that we only had to know how to compute z and t-test for a single mean… was a bit surprised when I saw other hypothesis testing on the mock!
