Are we expected to know, analyze, and calculate solutions based on the formulas in Reading 50 or are they meant to just illustrate relationships?
There does not appear to be any EOC chapter questions with calculations but am curious what the thought is?
I’m not sure, but it might be worth knowing the inter-temporal rate of substitution, taylor rule, and break-even inflation rate.
you should look at CFA textbook questions in that chapter. there is no calculation at all, same for topic tests. All you need to know is how to explain each components.
i have done all questions of PM in schweser mock vol 1 and 2, not much calculations, not sure why they put so many formulas in the book, i was so frustrated when i study PM. It seems all you have to know is TC x IC x BR^0.5 = IR
you should do topic test as well.
