Hey guys, I’m applying to a bunch of AM firms for internships while at grad school. Long term dream is to break into ER, but in the meanwhile I will settle for what I can get
Besides the usual Resume + Cover, I would also like to attach more detailed breakdown of my investment performance to make it more impactful on the reader. Besides my day job at a retail brokerage, I started a partnership 5 years ago as a side gig through which I managed a small amount of money for a few clients; I have audited financials, and I did outperform the S&P500.
Besides stating “managed $XXXXXX money, Return YY%, SDev ZZ%” on the resume, I would also like to give a more detailed breakdown of my investment performance, not just about the stats (the stuff you see on most mutual fund brochures) which can be made up, but also show some of my rationale for picking winners to make it look more legit.
Anyone has any recommendations/advice as to how to go about putting it together? Anyone done this before and doesn’t mind sharing their application pitch with me?
Thanks yall
