Guys,
Can you give me some info regarding to needed professional references in terms of lentgh and format of reference, what details should have to be written in it, do you have to seek for supervisor from your past employment or it is fine to get only references from current supervisors, etc.?

When you fill out the references in your CFAI File, they just ask for name, e-mail, and how they are affiliated with you. An e-mail is sent to your references and they need to fill out a questionnaire which probably should take them 10-15 minutes. As I understand, the professional reference can be anyone that can confirm/attest to your investment experience.

The reference does not need to be a person holding CFA charter himself, right? I am positive that answer would be no but still want to confirm.

They don’t need to be charter holders. They are asked to write about your work and how it relates to the investment decision making process.
I was in admin for a while. Work experience does not count and was rejected.
My references have told me that they have not received anything and it has been a week now.
Do they approve your work experience or professional reference somments?
ehh the email is instant and you decide when it get’s sent by clicking the “Send Email” link. It then shows you the time receipt for when it goes out.
