Hello,
I started started with CFA level 1 preparation for the exam, I went thought couple of topics on CFA website , but some of questions I just not sure how to get to the answers by reading the main website. Just wondering if I need to buy other study course like Kaplan will help ? or just focusing on the CFA website study material will be enough to pass the exam.
CFA website study material is really good, just full of volume and not really time efficient to read all of it. Buying study courses such as Kaplan and using those to study is a lot more time efficient because they are built and tailored for you to pass. FYI my best advice is to buy Kaplan and use their material to study; if there’s an area you feel uncomfortable with use the CFA website study material to understand it. I’d also buy the CFA® Program Practice Pack to get access to 5 extra mock exams if you’re willing to shell out the $. Not a necessity though given prep providers will give you mocks as well. GL

Thank you for your advise !
When I was preparing for CFA Level 1, I found it helpful to start with the CFA Institute materials. They cover everything you need and are directly related to the exam. You should base your study on your learning style. I used a combination of CFA books for theory and a course for practice questions and mock exams. In case of time constraints, I used to order essays on the topic I was interested in. Nowadays, there are a lot of resources that provide such services. I used https://essay-company.org/ because it was trustworthy. If you have enough time, you can use it to prepare your book.
