Question regarding CFA.

Hello guys. I am a Pakistani citizen working in the UK and I want to do CFA. I know about the exams and the levels but theres one thing which I am not sure of.

Can I give the CFA exams here in London? I don’t have UK nationality. Also if I clear all the 3 levels and and get the required experience for the charter, it still requires you to join a society. So which society will I have to join? The UK or Pakistan? And does society have any effect on where you work etc ?

Thanks!

Your nationality doesn’t matter; you may register to take the exams wherever you want.

Wouldn’t you rather take the exam than give it?

Alright thanks a bunch

I know enough Urdu to say that It’s a direct translation issue.

I don’t think joining a local CFA society is mandatory in respect to maintaining your Charter. More and more Charterholders in the UK only subscribe to the CFA Institute but not CFA UK Society in order to keep their Charter current/active. I am not sure if the situation is the same in other countries/regions.
