Most of the examples that I’ve worked have been for companies in their first year of operation, so beginning RE is 0. However, if this is not the case, the beginning RE needs to be converted right? My question is using what exchange rate? My guess is that it would be current. Trying to calc the derived Net Income as follows: NI - RE(t) - RE(t-1) +DIV
I guess it is always the plug figure.
Peter said in his free workshop: that it’s either 0 (for the case you mentioned above - 1st year of operation) or they will be giving you the RE(bgn) in Presentation Currency for sure in the vignette.
So you would need to perform the same translation on the previous year? Well I guess that makes sense which is probably why there are no examples like that. WAY TOO LONG.
