According to Wikipedia, Fed and his wife met a couple of years after he turned pro and a few years before his first GS victory. He had 13 GS titles by the time they got married though, so he obviously loves her or she’s a beard.
I don’t really get the reaction here. They both met as young Swiss pro players on tour with similar level of looks (maybe about a 7?). Started going out, things got serious and now they are married with 4 kids.
The only odd thing about it is that he was much better at tennis than she was so is now worth somewhere in the 9 figures I would guess.
Would people here really drop their childhood sweetheart for a super model if they became super rich? What happens after a year or two when you both get bored of the phony relationship. Federer comes across as a pretty balanced guy so I doubt he ever really considered it.
