GARP books and Bionic Turtle. I needed the GARP books when I needed more detailed explanation. Bionic Turtle was really good though. Besides, you may want the books later as part of your library. I do.
I do things only for the library.
I used Schweser, and did not feel it prepared me adequately for the exam. I may defer to Bionic Turtle for Part 2.
To me, Schweser is a must-have if you do not have much time to prepare the exam, but it is not enough to make you feel confident of passing the exam. I could not solely rely on Bionic Turtle because not all the assigned readings are covered. So, I’ll reconmmend both Schweser and Bionic Turtle.
Hey Juz4fun, What’s up man ? How was your result in FRM part II.
ABAL, what material did you use to study?
dwheats, I used Schwesers and GARP, both proved unsuitable for exam purposes. Schwesers just could not match upto the GARP qs. pattern or depth (pathetic to say the least) and GARP books … as Lute4 mentioned are great to add to one’s library and asset for a life time. But no, I don’t think they help you from exam point of view.
I believe part of my success, I owe it to David for posting the videos on you tube. I patiently searched for them for all the dificult concepts and downloaded them, ran them multiple times over till the concepts I was lacking in became crystal clear and itched in my mind.
I passed (2,1,1,3,1).
For part II, I think BT or David’s lecture and review videos reallly helped a lot in clarifying some concepts that I had doubts with. I liked the videos because David went through series of past mock question and BT questions instead of just reading the points on the slides. But, the downside is the videos were not up-to-date.
Congrats man. Are you applyng for the charter? What is the subscription fee?
Hi ABAL, Can you give me details of david videos. Even I would like to watch them. I could not find them on youtube
Thanks in advance
