Selling Life Insruance

Any retail FA folks out there with the charter that also sell life insurance to clients? How does the charter affect/limit this? I’m sure you do it that you always need to disclose that you will be getting paid for their business. Anything else?

Thanks.

Selling life insurance is acceptable but telling clients that they will benefit in fact they won’t is a violation.

Some life insurance products have a cash surrender value backed by investment funds, so the standard don’t imply a guarantee unless it’s contractual, don’t imply superior investment performance, etc. applies just as well.

Selling life insurance is like picking up fresh turds off the ground. It is good for something.
