Thanks Chris
I love these feelgood stories they make me all warm and bubbly inside!
I find this surprising, in a good way. Not much progress the first 3 times and an amazing result in 2014. Did you prepare your last exam differently? Did you put much more time than before?
Knakoo, I did not put more hours than before…I just revised using the mocks and EOC CFAI curriculum questions. On the ‘notes’ side, I used some summarized notes I made during the 2013 season.
I literally did and revised the 2010-2014 mocks more than 5x… EOC CFAI questions, perhaps more than 10x… each time I did and revised the questions, I added a concept into my knowledge… Needless to say, I had understood the concepts from sitting for the exam for 3 years, I just made sure to make pass the paper.
On the formular side, it was easy since I could remember them from the previous 3 year’s readings plus I had them in my short notes…
5 times? 10 times?
Don’t you remember the answers after doing the questions a few times?
Was about to tell you to definitely stick with it with an amazing motivational speech, but wonderful to realise on this page you had and it paid off. Shows the power of persistence and that even for the greatest minds the CFA is the beast of beasts. Can we send those with self doubts here going forward, reckon it’ll serve as a great motivator!
btw what’s OP?

btw what’s OP?
original poster. thread starter.
I totally agree with this guy.
Step 1: Take a break, have a vacation with family to get your mind of CFA at the moment
Step 2: When you feel cool, take an analysis of the pros and cons of CFA to your career path, your professional targets next year, your family’s financial situation. Think them through. What’s more important to do first.
Step 3: Stick with your plan and be determined.
Good luck
for me it depends on what you want to do.
don’t quit if you’re quiting because you think you can’t do it, you can, you’ve been really close before and if you give it your all next year i’m sure you would clear it.
only quit if you no longer want to pursue the cfa, sounds like you don’t really need it in your current role.
Chizi…you must not give up! Share your study plan for 2014 and i will let you know what u need to change to pass in 2015
