CAL - std dev on x axis - measures risky asset and risk free combination every asset has a CAL CML - std dev on x axis - optimal CAL measures risky portfolio vs risk free asset

SML -beta on x axis - all securities marked on the SML are acceptable to the investors - graphed off this line could mean undervalued or overvalued
