I just registered today, but I’ve been studying for about a month (not very diligently) using last year’s material.

My heart really isn’t in it, especially after seeing the 2012 AM section posted. I don’t remember everything I wrote but, with the exception of the last question which I did not get to, I don’t remember my answers being as far afield as my AM score indicated.

That’s what makes it hard to pick this up again. What’s to say I’d answer the 2013 AM sections any better? BTW, my average was >70 in the PM, so I don’t know how much better I could do there.

Very discouraging.

Keep plugging away. I got a band 5 in 2011 and passed in 2012. I worked a bit harder in 2012, but the difference was the afternoon. In fact, based on 40/60/80 ( and I realize it has flaws), I had a higher a.m. score in 2011 with a band 5 than I did in 2012 with a pass.

Morning will always be a head-scratcher. Scrape as many points as you can there and crush the afternoon. You will get it next time if you prepare just a bit more. I know luck plays a part in it and that sucks. But no getting around that. Keep working.
