Stock repurchase is similar to stock dividends?
I remember it reading somewhere but I’m not sure if it’s stock dividend or stock split

In stock repurchase only those shareholders whose stocks are being purchased will receive cash.
Stock Repurchase is the company buying its own stock from the market. You have the option to sell or not sell to the company. The number of stocks in the market goes down, so each seller who didn’t sell stock back to the company owns a bigger percentage of the company than before.
