Hi -

I recently registered for the CFA Level I in December. I have the Kaplan Schweser Books as well the books sent to me by the CFA Institute.

I just wanted to get everyones opinon regarding whether or not I should use the CFA materials for the ethics section as well as the schweser books for the ethics section? or will Schweser suffice for ethics section? I’ve heard different things from one or two people who have never taken cfa so I just wanted everyones advice.

If I had all the time in the world, I would do both but which one is best for ethics? Thank you much.

Use the CFA books for ethics.

There’s obviously a difference between ‘whether Schweser will suffice’ and ‘which one is best’.

  • Schweser will suffice.
  • CFA Institute is better than Schweser for most cases (i.e. if the notes format doesn’t put you off)

Just read one reading using both materials and you’ll know which one you prefer.
