Study Time for Level II

How much time i everyone giving for the CAIA Level II exam? I plan on studying from Dec - March for a total of 3 months. What is everyone using for their study materials? I plan on relying solely on UpperMark. I am a CFA charter holder and am hoping some things from the CFA program carry over to the CAIA exam.

Three months is good. You will be fine.

I’m doing both Level 3 CFA and Level 2 CAIA. Hopefully I have enough time with work and some relevant social life.

meazza: when are u going to start studying for each

I’m studying both at the same time. I set up a study plan where I split evenly the time during the week.

It’s a bit of a risk and I might abandon CAIA level 2 if I feel that it’s too much and that I won’t get enough CFA study time.

I just got my books and started reviewing the LOS for CAIA this week.

meazza, I’m in a similar situation but doing CFA L2 in June with CAIA L2 this March. Are you using Kaplan, UpperMark, or CAIA material? Since youve taken CFA L2 already how feasible do you think it to be studying for that and CAIA L2 at the same time.

im still contemplating doing caia II in march next year.

want to focus on cfa 3 and pass it one time. will graph very hard for this.

dont think i will cope doing both.

If I do both, I know I will concentrate on cfa first. cannot let this exam fall through the cracks for another year.

will look at caia in sept 2013.

I’m in the same boat. I already read through most of the Schweser CFA books. I’m at approximately the end of book 5. Once i’m done that, I’ll read the CAIA and qbank the CFA material. I think I should be ok to do both, but like you, I am focusing more time on the CFA.
