no sale?

I don’t think so. I just got e-mailed about it today by them.

I think a $1,000 suit is an overkill, unless you’re meeting with clients that could bring you millions of dollars in revenue etc…or if you’re making $200k and up in income (MD, VP, senior associate etc)… a $500 suit is VERY nice and if you search for good deals, you usually can’t tell from visual observation the difference between a $1,000 suit and a $500 suit.

The Brooks Brothers Corporate Membership program is great. 15% off at all times and occasional 30% off sales. I’m not sure how a company goes about setting it up but I’m sure HR could get it done. The only problem is that half the office has all the same shirts, suits, and ties. http://65.215.52.17/MemEnrollment/jsp/LuxurySplash.jsp

What is the opinion of Slim Fit Suits? Are they suitable for business? Or just for formal events?

Just got a Zegna on sale for 670, originally marked at 2100. My suits are out of control and that is the most I have paid for one. Canali, zegna, burberry, hugo boss, and a cornelliani. 670 the most I have ever paid.

How can Zegna discounted that big? Probably I should start measuring and shop for suits online and fit it with my local taylor.

I know one guy that wears a burberry jacket and never took off the sleeve tag that says burberry on it - tacky.

Damnit, I didnt think you would know.

It was at the Saks outlet off fifth. 2200 normal price marked down to 1399. then it was 40% off that price last week. however i talked to girl at counter she showed me flyer for black friday, and black friday deals were 50% off, so i argued with store manager and she gave me the 50% off instead of the 40% off. I also then opened a saks charge, and that was around 10%. total it was like 650

Actually, I believe you can tell the difference between a quality and a cheap suit by the alignment and quality of buttons (horn vs plastic), the fit on shoulders and waist, as well as the length of sleeves and the match of jacket sleeves with shirt sleeves. Also, the type and quality of material used in the inside (silk vs polyester) and outside (wool/silk mix, brilliance, number of colors, wrinkling) of the jacket and the attention given to the fissures (visible vs invisible fissures, same color thread, loose threads, etc.). Howevere, quality does not need to be expensive. I often settle for Hugo Boss, but cheaper and better quality suits can be had from any tailor. If you should go for tailored suites, I feel shirts should be tailored as well to get a perfect sleeve length match. I would not spend a cent on a suit if there were visible defects. Also, a nice suit sloppily worn makes for a funny sight. My most funny observations with suits: a) People who fail to fully place the tie under the shirts collar. b) People who forget to close all sleeve buttons.

My friend just emailed me from Cali at Saks. $1500 or higher priced Zegna suits (I think half-canvased or maybe full), last year’s model discounted to $600, 30% off because of a sale, + 30% discount coupon he had ~ $300. Simply amazing.
