Technology Banking

I wanted to find more information about https://www.wellsfargo.com/com/industry/technology-venture-capital. I was wondering if experience here had good exit opps, salary, etc.

I was thinking about studying for cfa. would it be beneficial or qould it qualify? start off as an analyst.

Any more information you think I should know.

The CFA is not going to get you this role. It won’t hurt you, but it’s not your ticket in. I can’t speak specifically to the exit opps, salary, etc but I have to imagine that it has great exit ops/pay being how hot that sector is and that it’s venture capital.

Your role will likely be to continue to move up in an investing role, in VC or growth equity or possibly private equity. Potentially later you can switch to an operating role at a tech company if that’s what you really want to do, but in most cases they are looking for people with operating experience and so investing/dealmaking professionals have a different career track.

Guaranteed nobody there will give a hoot about the CFA and God bless them if they even know what it is.

would you reccomend doing the CFA for exit opportunities, etc. Or not? Maybe move into a portfolio manager type role? Tech ER?
