Partially correct, but a pretty slim partial. Points deducted for appeal to mob mentality, “we”. There is no consensus, just the mods patting themselves on the back.
It’s simply confidence in having properly analyzed and reached the correct answer (due to thoroughness of analysis and historic correctness). Correct answers aren’t really “warranted”, they just are. Arrogance is irrelevant.
Bottom line, you can’t “know otherwise” if you can’t comprehend the analysis. 
There is no thorough analysis nor correct answer, simply purealpha patting himself on the back.

Reindeer thirty miles away were struck dead. People’s clothes combusted at sixty miles away. 700 square miles of forest were flattened.
If it fell five hours later, it would have destroyed St. Petersburg and everyone in it. And it didn’t even hit. And it was small, 60 meters or so across.
