This is my story, failed in Korea, and seek for outside of my country

So I am 29 right now. I used to work as internal market researcher in an auto-Iot-company in Korea for 2 years.

I interned in the USA in accounting as special accountant to replace the accounting manager, and am right now an level 3 candidate. I quit my job because i wanted career in finance, which i have prepared from 2011 by studying English, CFA, CPM(Korea certificate standing for Certifed Portfolio manager), CFRA( also Korean one, Certified Financial Research analyst) past 5 years. I invested market and have pretty good return( i fully understand the difference individual investor and instituonal since i help many professional here in Korea), furthermore, kind of following market everyday and have own-my views.

Unfortunately, i failed getting in to financial market in Korea, because of my school.(this is conclusion from former and current professional in the field, including HR) I graduated from very poorly known school here so i failed all documentary stage. I got recommendation and reference from many professionals who had or have careers in the companies that i have had interviews.

For my career in finance, i seek for advice from fellows here. What would be the odds that i get a job in other country in finance? i well know that H1B is impossible for me to get, so i am thinking about Singapore but if any other countries or chance that i get a job anywhere in your mind, please leave a reply. i will try other countries after receiving result of CFA level3 exams. If it is necessary, i will seek for USCPA exam that i used to study in the past.

Unless you get into a globally prestigious MBA program and are willing to pursue that route, your chances are basically zero.

I think before that you need to work on your english (written and definitely verbal). It’s not bad for a Korean but not good enough to be an expat.

forget all those certifications and cfa charter. put all those books down and study gmat. full time mba in the us will get you into finance. if you want high finance i would say top tier mba. i really do think as ohai wrote above, mba is the only chance outside of your home country.

is this you pa?
